Annually, the Schola Cantorum of the Diocese of Harrisburg presents a Requiem Mass composition for the Diocesan Mass for the Faithful Departed.

Under the direction of Dr. Richard Skirpan, the Mass will feature the Requiem Mass of Maurice Duruflé presented by mezzo-soprano soloist Leah Kaye Serr, professional organist and instrumentalists, and the Diocesan Schola Cantorum joined by choristers from Saint Leo the Great parish in Lancaster, PA under the direction of Kyle Postlethwait.

The Mass of the Faithful Departed will be held on Wednesday, November 5, 2025 at 7:00PM, with Most Rev. Timothy C. Senior, Bishop of Harrisburg, serving as celebrant.

New this season is our Music Education Under the Dome as we strive to provide aspiring musicians with the experience of performing in our beautiful Cathedral. This component of Music Under the Dome emphasizes the importance of music education and our role in promoting the arts in the community.

Coordinated by Dr. Joy Meade, Director of Choral Activities at Messiah University, this concert both showcases the high-quality collegiate music programs in Central Pennsylvania as well as providing these young artists the educational experience of performing for their peers.

Come support these young musicians on Sunday, November 23, 2025 at 6:00PM. Admission is free and open to the public. Donations appreciated.

Under the direction of Dr. Michael Culloton, the Concordia Choir of Concordia College (Moorhead, MN) comes to the Cathedral of Saint Patrick on their annual national tour. Highly reputed as one of the nation's finest a cappella choirs, the Concordia Choir boasts performances in venues including Lincoln Center, Carnegie Hall, Kennedy Center, and St. Peter's Basilica. The ensemble is featured in the Emmy-winning Concordia Christmas Concerts, nationally broadcast on public television. This concert is a ticketed event.
